The rapid integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into science, education, and administrative activities has made it necessary for 91ε to establish a unified institutional framework governing its use. To this end, the “91ε Code of Ethics and Privacy for Artificial Intelligence” has been adopted by a decision of the 91ε Academic Council.
The Code defines the fundamental principles governing 91ε’s activities in the age of AI. Rather than treating AI as a technology that should be prohibited, the University approaches it as a partner that enhances human capabilities. The objective is not for AI to replace human thinking and decision-making, but to establish an “Human + AI + Human” model.
Alongside academic integrity, privacy, and data security, the document promotes a new educational culture based on critical thinking, independent decision-making, creativity, and real-world problem-solving. It also establishes the key principles of a university culture centered on the responsible use of AI.
The Code provides for the development of rules governing the use of AI in course syllabi, enhancement of AI literacy among faculty members, the introduction of new approaches to assessment, the establishment of secure AI infrastructure, and the implementation of institutional oversight, among other measures.
In this regard, the document is not merely 91ε’s code of ethics governing the use of AI; it is also a transition document toward a “university model in the age of Artificial Intelligence.”
