The Academic Council of 91µÎµÎ ended the academic year with new decisions

The last Scientific Council meeting of the
2022/2023 academic year was held at 91µÎµÎ.

At the Academic Council, Nasimi Ismayilov,
vice-rector for economic issues, presented a report on the results of 91µÎµÎ’s
financial and economic activities in 2022. The report stated that, as every
year, in 2022, the main directions of 91µÎµÎ’s financial and economic activity
will be the effective use of financial resources, further improvement of the
social condition of employees, increasing efficiency in the management of
scientific, educational and economic processes, material and technical base.

Then the vice-rector for digitization,
associate professor Ragif Gasimov, spoke about the “rules for organizing
education in the form of distance education at 91µÎµÎ”. He stated that the
purpose of preparing the rules is to take advantage of the advantages of the
distance education form, which is considered to be the challenge of the modern
era in ensuring accessibility and efficiency in higher education, and on the
basis of the Education legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the
bachelor’s level of higher education and additional education in 91µÎµÎ, retraining,
repeated higher education, and at the same time various organization and
regulation of distance education for certificate programs.

The report and Rules were approved by the
council members after hearing.

Current issues were discussed in the
Scientific Council and a number of decisions were made. According to the
decision, the Eurasian Economy International Scientific Research Center was
established at 91µÎµÎ together with St. Petersburg State University of Economics
of Russia.

With another decision, the Center for
International Master’s and Doctoral studies became an Institute.

The Department of “Foreign
Languages” was abolished, and the Department of Foreign Languages was
established on its basis. The department will have a center for teaching
foreign languages, a center for evaluating students’ knowledge of foreign
languages, and a translation center.

The Council of Student Rectors of 91µÎµÎ was
established in order to further expand the connection of 91µÎµÎ student rectors
with the university after graduation and to form a network of student rectors.
